Nigerian entertainers have undoubtedly made their mark on the African entertainment scene, and to recognise their efforts, the maiden edition of the Cameroon Entertainment Awards has nominated a select list of Nigerian stars in its awards.
Nollywood divas, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Genevieve Nnaji, Stella Damasus, and ‘bad boy’ Jim Iyke have all been nominated in the PAN African actor/actress category of the awards.
They were nominated alongside Ghana’s John Dumelo and Majid Michel.
Pop duo Psquare have also been nominated for ‘PAN African Artist of the Year’ alongside their Konvict Music boss Akon. Others in the category include Awilo Longomba, Fally Ipupa, Viviane Ndour and Patience Dabany.
The Cameroon Entertainment Awards was created ‘to comprehensively recognize Cameroonian entertainers from all over the world, both English-speaking and French-speaking as well as encouraging talents while nurturing them to an internationally-rated standard’.
The Maiden Edition of the CEA Awards will take place at The prestigious Cramton Auditoriun in Howard University in DC, July 28, 2012.
Footballer Samuel Eto’o, Lez Nubians, and Roger Milla are among the honourees to be recognised for their achievements in the round leather game.

Cokobar, the organisers of the successful ‘Afro Beat Festival’ have reached an agreement with pop star Ayo ‘Wizkid’ Balogun and the very popular stand-up comedian Basketmouth for a UK tour billed for mid year.
According to information from the organizers, Wizkid will perform on Sunday June 3, 2012 at Birdcage, Manchester and on June 4 at HMV Apollo, London.
We’re told Basketmouth’s gig will hold on August 11, 2012 at HMV Apollo London.
Last year, Wizkid missed out on performing at a similar show put together by Basketmouth and this Cokobar.
The shark's bite went to the bone and tore up his Achilles tendon!
One of his surfer friends said:
"There were two bites. One is sort of half in his calf, that's taken a big chunk out of that.That's crazy!
The other one is down to his heel. It's just right down to the bone. You could see the bone."
He was taken to a hospital and is excepted to survive his injuries.
He is apparently in good spirits.

According to a cast member who was on set nearly every day of filming, the cast knew EXACTLY what they were getting themselves into when they signed on for the film…and then some!!!

Drake is Taking Care of his American fans this summer!!!
Drizzy will headlining another Club Paradise tour with a 27 stops in cities across the States. Drake is bringing J. Cole, Waka Flocka Flame, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz and French Montana along for the ride too!
